Dessert Party
Set up an ice cream sundae bar with all of your favorite toppings, or grab one of those cheesecake sampler platters from your grocer’s freezer section. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive or fancy. Just make sure you hide it from the kids!

Game Night
When was the last time you sat down and played a game together? Grab your favorite board game or a deck of cards, and play! Don’t forget to laugh, but don’t get too competitive. Fighting is not the goal.

Movie/TV Time
Pop some popcorn, and grab the remote. Find a movie or TV show you both want to watch, grab a blanket, and cuddle on the couch. Finding a good TV series you like is even better because it will guarantee that you keep coming back to watch together. You can even include the chill with your Netflix. 😉 We wont tell.

Online Shopping
Now before you roll your eyes, hear me out on this one. I don’t mean you have to actually buy something. This is one of our favorite things to do together. Pick a room in your house you would love to redo, and get online to find ideas together. Go on a pretend house hunt on one of the home finder sites, and find your dream home. Search for that bucket list vacation you’ve always wanted. This gives you time to dream together, and set goals for the future. You never know! One of these dreams might be more realistic than you think!
These ideas are all simple and low cost. They are not meant to be fancy. They are meant to help you reconnect with your spouse in the comfort of your own home. Dating after marriage should still be a priority. Don’t forget to schedule these things. Even if you are staying home, put them on your calendar in advance so you can look forward to your time together. What are some other in house date nights you have done? Let us know in the comments!
